Miramar, Florida, June 21 – The Worldwide Cricket Academy (WWCA) Elite Women’s Program is pleased to announce that West Indies Vice Captain, Stafanie Taylor, is set to work alongside Coach Stephanie Power at the WWCA Camp at Baisley Park in Queens, New York on June 28 and 29, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The two-time ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year winner is eager to contribute to the development of women cricketers in the US and provide valuable support to Coach Stephanie Power.
“I’ve worked with some of the women in the US last year and they are keen to learn. I am always happy to help in any way that I can. Stephanie is a great coach so it’s good to be able to work with her,” said Taylor.
Players from around the US will have a rare opportunity to receive guidance from one of the best all-rounders in the game. Program Director Nadia Gruny believes that her participation will add value to the learning experience of the women cricketers.
“We are very appreciative to the West Indies Cricket Board for releasing Stafanie to support our initiative. We seek to provide the best exposure for our women cricketers whenever we can. She is such a fantastic and well-respected player so we know Stafanie will be a great source of inspiration and a benchmark for both men and women cricketers,” said Gruny.
Taylor is no stranger to US women’s cricket. In 2013, she took time out of her US vacation to hold a clinic for women of the Northern California Cricket Association and participate with the Atlantis Cricket Club-NY in the Atlanta T20 Women’s tournament.
