Based on performances in the national tournament, an 18-woman squad will be selected for preparation leading up to the World Cup Qualifiers in Bangladesh.

According to Shiekh Manaf Mohamed, the squad will visit Barbados for a 10-day high-performance camp during the West Indies regional competition, which serves as their selection trials for the West Indies team.

Team USA will train under the watchful eyes of an ICC coach and culminate with matches against a Barbados X1 and a West Indies X1.

At the end of September or early October, a final squad of 14 will be selected to make the trip to Bangladesh, reported usaca.org.

It is expected that Team USA will benefit from more training camps courtesy the Apple Pickers Foundation. The foundation donated a generous $100,000 to fund Team USA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers preparation.
